Russia and Jordan to abolish visa requirements from December 13
Russia and Jordan will abolish visa requirements for citizens of both countries starting December 13, boosting tourism and cultural exchange between them.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the agreement on visa-free travel between Russia and Jordan will take effect on December 13, 2025, in accordance with the agreement signed between the two countries on August 20 last year.
Under this agreement, Russian citizens will be allowed to enter Jordan and stay there for up to 30 consecutive days per visit, with a maximum cumulative stay not exceeding 90 days within one year. A similar arrangement will apply to Jordanian citizens.
Key conditions include a prohibition on visitors engaging in employment, commercial, or educational activities, as well as permanent residence.

Last April, a visa-free regime between Russia and the Sultanate of Oman came into force. In mid-September last year, China introduced visa-free travel with Russia, effective until September 14, 2026.
A few days ago, Russia signed a visa abolition agreement with Myanmar. Russia intends to conclude a similar agreement with Bahrain by the end of the year.
